2. Child disability payment
Child disability payment (CDP) helps towards the extra costs of bringing up a disabled child or young person* in Scotland. It has two parts: a mobility component and a care component. CDP is, to a large extent, modelled on DLA, the benefit it will be replacing. Where the rules are the same as those for DLA, we refer to the relevant place in Chapter 3.
