5. Inhibition in execution
An ‘inhibition’ is a form of diligence in Scotland aimed at preventing clients from disposing of land or property, or taking any further loans against it, without first paying the debt owed to the inhibiting creditor. It is usually used in conjunction with other forms of diligence.
