Acquirenda
This applies to all insolvency options.
Acquirenda are assets that the client gains up to four years after the date of sequestration. For example, an inheritance or lottery winnings.
During the period of insolvency, the client must notify their trustee of any acquired assets within 48 months of the date of sequestration.
This is included in the Statement of Undertakings in a bankruptcy (see Appendix 3) and within the terms of a trust deed.
Acquirenda received during a MAP may result in a conversion to the FAB process.
