31. Right to receive income or payment in future
Certain forms of capital can be released at some stage to provide you with income or payment in the future. The value of the right to receive any of the following is disregarded:
■income under an annuity, and the surrender value of an annuity;
■income that is disregarded because it is frozen abroad;
■an occupational or personal pension, and the value of funds held under a personal pension scheme (including annuity contracts and trust schemes approved under tax law); and
■any rent, except where you have a future interest in the property.

The following are also disregarded:
■any future interest in property other than land or property that have been let by you; and
■the full surrender value of a life insurance policy.
