15. Income from tenants and lodgers
Disregard the following income from tenants and lodgers:
■contributions towards living and accommodation costs made to you by someone living as a member of your household (but not if they are a commercial boarder or a sub-tenant);
■if you have sub-let part of your home (under a formal contract), a maximum of £20 from the weekly payment received from each sub-tenant; and
■if you provide board and lodging in your home, £20 and half of the remainder of the weekly charge paid by each person provided with such accommodation (even if that person lodges with you for just one night).
