4. Occupying accommodation
To get the housing costs amount you must occupy, or be treated as occupying, the accommodation for which you pay rent or service charges as your home.
You cannot generally be treated as occupying more than one dwelling. The circumstances in which you can be treated as occupying more than one dwelling, or treated as occupying a dwelling that you are not currently living in, are listed in
Box F.2 .
