Challenging low spending
Clients can sometimes be unrealistic about their expenditure, which can affect their ability to keep to a repayment arrangement. They often underestimate or ignore some expenditure. Common examples include:
    food;
    smoking products;
    replacement of clothes and furniture;
    house maintenance and repair;
    work – eg, travel and lunches;
    running a car;
    birthdays and Christmas gifts.
Try not to suggest unreasonable ways to cut expenditure. It can have an adverse effect on the client.
