Financial Ombudsman service
If a creditor has dealt with an expired debt in a way which does not follow the FCA’s guidelines, a complaint can be made. This should first be made to the creditor using its complaints procedure. If its response is not satisfactory, the complaint can be raised with the Financial Ombudsman Service, but only for events which occurred after April 2007.
