PIP acts as a gateway to other types of help
.
The rates and components of PIP that entitle you to further help (if you meet all the other conditions for that help) are listed below. If you get the enhanced rate of either component, you are also eligible for the help available to people receiving only the standard rate.
‘Amounts’ are included in universal credit (UC). ‘Premiums’ are included in housing benefit (HB) and health benefits.
