The hearing

At the hearing, your client should be prepared to put forward their case.

They should have a fully completed income and expenditure form and be prepared to argue that the offer made is reasonable given their circumstances.

They should take a copies of any relevant paperwork with them for the sheriff and the creditors.

The sheriff (or tribunal) listens to the arguments from both sides and makes a decision on whether to grant the application or not.
