If arrears have arisen because of a supplier’s failure to read your meter accurately, you may wish to dispute your liability for the full amount of the arrears. See Chapter 6 for information on high bills.

If you need information on an earlier period of consumption concerning an estimated bill, ask your energy supplier for information on previous readings and the amount of energy used. Your supplier is required to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable.1Condition 21B.9 SLC
