1. What benefits can you get?
You can claim state pension once you reach pension age (see Chapter 46(2)). Pension credit is a means-tested benefit if you (and your partner, if you have one) have reached pension age (see Chapter 45 for details).
This chapter looks at other benefits you may be able to get at pension age. Sometimes you need to decide whether to draw state pension or receive another benefit instead. Some benefits, such as attendance allowance, can be paid in addition to state pension.
