Free wigs and fabric supports
In Wales and Northern Ireland, wigs and fabric supports are free. In England, you qualify for free wigs and fabric supports if:
1Regs 4 and 5 NHS(TERC) Regs; NHS(CDA) Regs; NHS(FP&CDA)(W) Regs•you are in one of the exempt groups listed on
here;
or •you are under 16, or under 19 and in full-time education (see
here);
or •you are a hospital inpatient when the wig or fabric support is provided; or
•your income is low enough (see
here).
