You claim attendance allowance (AA) for yourself. Your partner may get AA or personal independence payment (PIP – see Chapter 35) or may still have an existing award of disability living allowance (DLA – see Chapter 28) in her/his own right. Your child(ren) may get DLA, or PIP when they reach age 16, in their own right.
