2. Does your child qualify for DLA?
To qualify for DLA, your child must:
■pass at least one of the disability tests (see
9 and
14 below);
and ■be within the age limits (see
3 below );
and ■meet the qualifying periods conditions (see
4 below );
and
A claim for DLA must be made (see
20 below ). If your child meets all these conditions, they are entitled to DLA. They keep their underlying entitlement to DLA even if other rules mean it cannot actually be paid (see
6 below ).
