Pension credit can help meet certain housing costs (see Chapter 29 ). You may get housing benefit to help with rent (see Chapter 27 ) and help from your local authority towards your council tax (see Chapter 30 ). If you get the guarantee credit, you will be passported to full housing benefit and council tax support, and may be entitled to help with health costs, such as free dental treatment (see Chapter 53 ), and with hospital travel fares (see Chapter 57(2) ). If you receive either element, you may get help from the social fund (see Chapter 31 ), budgeting loans ( Chapter 33(3) ) and support for mortgage interest loans (see Chapter 28 ).
