Some benefits are taken into account in the assessment of your universal credit, and others are ignored.
Benefits taken into account include:
    carer’s allowance;
    contribution-based jobseeker’s allowance;
    contributory employment and support allowance;
    most industrial injuries benefits;
    maternity allowance;
    retirement pension.
Benefits that are ignored include:
    attendance allowance;
    Best Start grant;
    carer’s allowance supplement and young carer grant;
    child benefit;
    disability living allowance;
    funeral support payments;
    personal independence payment;
    Scottish child payment.
