7. Using your MP
If you are not satisfied with the reply from the officers to whom you have written, you may wish to take up the matter with your MP. Your MP may also be able to help if you are getting no response to your complaint.

Your MP will probably want to write to the benefit authority for an explanation of what has happened. If you wish to make a complaint to the relevant Ombudsman, you must usually do so through your MP. This does not apply if you are complaining to the Ombudsman about a local authority or tribunal members.
