Getting started
Signing up for a subscription
Go to cpag.org.uk/subscriptions to find out more about our different online subscriptions and what they cover.
Add the subscription you’ve chosen to your shopping cart.
Complete the checkout process. You’ll be given the option of paying by card or requesting an invoice. At the end of the checkout, you’ll see a link to CPAG Welfare Rights where you can access the content in your subscription straight away.
If you’re looking to purchase multiple subscriptions for a whole team, please get in touch with us at subscriptions@cpag.org.uk or call us on 020 7837 7979. The setup process is slightly different, and we can also offer discounts on large orders.
Logging in
Go to CPAG Welfare Rights and navigate to the content you’re looking for. If it’s subscription content you’ll be prompted to log in.
You’ll be redirected to a login page where you can enter your email address and password.
Please use the email address you entered when you bought the subscription. If you’re not sure which one you used, check your inbox for the confirmation email.
Once you’ve entered your details, you’ll be redirected back to the page you were on.
If you still don’t have access to the content you would like to read/use, you may need to upgrade your subscription. Check what’s covered in your subscription or contact us on 020 7837 7979 or subscriptions@cpag.org.uk to upgrade.
Resetting your password
If you’re not logged in: Go to cpag.org.uk/user and select ‘Reset your password’. Enter your email address then select the ‘Submit’ button.
If you’re already logged in: Go to cpag.org.uk/user and select ‘Edit’ then follow the link to ‘Reset your password’.
We’ll send you an email with a link to a page where you can enter a new password.
If the email doesn’t reach you straight away, please check your junk or spam folders. If you still don’t see the email, please contact us on subsciptions@cpag.org.uk.
Managing your subscription
Changing your email address
We can transfer a subscription from one email to another, for example if your email address changes, or if an employee has left your organisation.
Please contact us on 020 7837 7979 or subscriptions@cpag.org.uk and we’ll transfer it over for you.
Accessing your subscription from multiple devices
You’re welcome to use your subscription on different devices. However, only one person can be logged into an account at once, so if there is a login from a second device, then the first device will be immediately logged out.
Using our handbooks
Printing
You can print a page or export it to PDF by clicking ‘view’ and then ‘print’.
This will allow you to print to a connected printer or export the page as a PDF if you have a PDF viewer installed on your computer.
If you’re having trouble connecting to a printer or exporting the page to a PDF viewer, please contact your IT team and they'll be able to help. This isn't on our website; it’s in your computer settings.
Citing text
To cite a specific piece of text, drag your cursor over the text to highlight it, and choose ‘Cite this’ in the little window that pops up then the ‘select citation text’ button.
In the citation, there’ll be a link. This link will go directly to the piece of content you’ve cited. Even if the book is put into the archive later when a new edition comes out, this link will still work and take you back to the original page.
Copying text
The quickest and easiest way to copy text from an online handbook is to highlight the text by dragging your cursor over it, then pressing ‘Ctrl’ and ‘c’ on your keyboard (or ‘Command’ and ‘c’ on a Mac). To paste text (into a document or email), just press ‘ctrl’ and ‘v ’ (or ‘Command’ and ‘v’) on your keyboard.
Copyright
Just to let you know, CPAG books and content are copyrighted. We’re happy for you to copy small parts of our handbooks/articles for research, to support funding, or for other non-commercial uses. For anything you’re intending to sell, for example using an excerpt of CPAG’s content in a non-CPAG book, leaflet, training materials, or to publish on a website, please contact us for permission at info@cpag.org.uk.
