9. Child winter heating payment (Scotland)
In Scotland, lump sum payments of £265.50 are available to families with disabled children (or young people aged 16, 17 or 18) who, in the ‘qualifying week’ (the week beginning 14.9.26 for winter 2026/27), get:
    ■the highest rate of the care component of disability living allowance or child disability payment; or
    ■the enhanced rate of the daily living component of personal independence payment or adult disability payment (including if this is suspended during a stay in hospital or a care home).
If there is more than one child or young person who qualifies in your household, you get a payment for each of them.
