Attendance allowance is paid to you, not to a carer, to spend as you wish. It is usually paid on a Monday, every four weeks in arrears, into your bank or building society account or paid with your state pension.

Appointees – If you cannot manage your own affairs, the DWP can appoint another person to act on your behalf (see Chapter 54(4)) .
