•Pension age disability payment (PADP) is a benefit for pension-age adults with a disability or long-term health condition who live in Scotland.
•Attendance allowance claimants living in Scotland are being transferred to PADP.
•PADP is paid at one of two rates, depending on your level of difficulty/needs.
•PADP is a non-means-tested benefit.
•You do not have to have paid national insurance contributions to qualify.
•You can get PADP whether or not you work.
•PADP is paid in addition to most other benefits and is disregarded as income for means-tested benefits.
•PADP is administered and paid by Social Security Scotland.
