Interest
Interest is usually payable at the judicial rate (8 per cent).
To claim the interest, before the last instalment of the debt (other than such interest) is payable under the direction, the creditor must state they are claiming such interest and specify the amount of the interest claimed.1s1(7) D(S)A 1987 Failure to do so means the interest is not recoverable.
