Checklist
Consider returning a statutory demand and denying the debt within the relevant timescale.
Apply for a statutory moratorium if you think a creditor may present a petition to court. A statutory moratorium will stop proceedings so long as it is in place before the petition is presented to the court.
Consider applying for a DPP and ask for a continuation at court to allow this to go ahead.
Check that the court had jurisdiction. It may be possible to recall the sequestration if the case has been dealt with in the wrong court, although this may only delay the process.
