Tax, benefits and tax credits
Funeral support payments are not taxable.1s660 IT(EP)A 2003, as amended by s12 Finance Act 2009
They are not counted as income or capital for other means-tested benefits or tax credits.
You cannot get a funeral support payment if you or anyone else has been awarded a social fund funeral expenses payment in respect of the person who died.2Reg 8(5) FEA(S) Regs
