1. Introduction
In Scotland, the main disability benefits are being transferred to the Scottish government. ‘Child disability payment’ has replaced disability living allowance: see 2 to 8 below. ‘Adult disability payment’ is replacing personal independence payment; see 9 to 15 below. There are common rules to these benefits: see 16 to 22 below. ‘Pension age disability payment’ will be replacing attendance allowance from summer 2024.
