•Scottish child payment is a top-up benefit for lower income families in Scotland responsible for children under the age of 16.
•Scottish child payment is not means tested, but you must be receiving a means-tested benefit or tax credit to qualify.

•You can qualify for Scottish child payment whether you are in or out of work.
•Scottish child payment can be paid in addition to other benefits and tax credits, and does not count as income for means-tested benefits.
