2. The rules about your age
There are no lower or upper age limits for discretionary housing payments. However, you must be entitled to universal credit (UC) that includes (or would include) a housing costs element for rent, or to housing benefit (HB), to qualify for discretionary housing payments and there are age rules for UC and HB (see here and here).
