The low income scheme

Applications for help under the low income scheme can now be made on line at services.nhsbsa.nhs.uk as long as you do not have more than £6,000 of savings or capital. Alternatively you can apply to the NHS Business Services Authority on Form HC1 (HC1W in Wales), available from Jobcentre Plus offices, NHS hospitals, some doctors’ surgeries, some chemists, many students’ union advice centres or at nhsbsa.nhs.uk.
