6. Getting paid
The general rules on getting paid are covered in
Chapter 51. Hardship payments of jobseeker’s allowance (JSA) and employment and support allowance (ESA) are made on the day that your JSA or ESA would normally be paid. Hardship payments of universal credit should be made as quickly as possible, once the application has been allowed. Where practical, this should be on the day the application is accepted.
