2. The rules about your age
You (and your partner) must be aged at least 16 to get working tax credit (WTC).1s3(3) TCA 2002 There is no upper age limit.
If you are under 25, you can only qualify for WTC if you work at least 16 hours a week and you are a disabled worker or are responsible for a child in the circumstances described on here.
