David Malcolm works in the public sector on education policy. He was formerly Head of Policy and Campaigns at the National Union of Students (NUS), where he worked on student finance policy for 17 years. Previously, he was the sabbatical Vice President Welfare at the University of Strathclyde Students’ Association.
Lynne Condell is Student Funds Manager at Liverpool John Moores University, and a former chair of the National Association of Student Money Advisers. She has worked in higher education funding for more than 30 years, and in 2013 was awarded an MBE for services to higher education.
Angela Toal is a welfare rights worker with CPAG in Scotland, working on its Benefits for Students Project.
Alan Roberts is a partner with Counterculture Partnership LLC, for which he provides consultancy services in the higher education and students’ union sectors, specialising in student engagement, finance, service development and advocacy. Previously, he worked as Policy Development Manager at the National Union of Students, and as an adviser at Liverpool Guild of Students.
