Good Practice Toolkit
Created by MaPS in collaboration with the debt sector, the good practice toolkit is a collection of templates, letters, prompt lists and checklists to help and support advisers with debt advice delivery.
Debt Advice Handbook

CPAG’s bestselling Debt Advice Handbook (free online in partnership with MaPS) is the most comprehensive reference book on money advice. It is the set text for the Institute of Money Advisers’ Certificate in Money Advice Practice.
The online book is updated in real time, to cover all recent changes to legislation, caselaw and court procedure and practice. Here are some useful sections to get you started:
MaPS accredited training
The Learning Pathway hub contains up-to-date information on training courses and qualifications that have been accredited against the Money and Pensions Service Individual Quality Framework. It is designed for users from across the debt sector including advisers, quality assessors, learning and development professionals and others with a need to understand the current learning landscape.
CPAG training
We offer basic training courses (for frontline workers who do not work specifically in welfare rights), as well as introductory, standard, and experienced training courses (for benefit advisers who want to delve into the details).
